Welcome to Kauffman's Timberwind Llamas.
With the knowledge and experience achieved from raising llamas for over 25 years we had developed a very select group of special champion quality llamas. Not only did we love these wonderful creatures but we were also very serious breeders of quality show llamas.
After 25 years, and after selling the last llamas to Barb and Steve, we have actually retired from raising llamas. I will continue judging and plan to stay active in the llama community. Our llama years have been wonderful to us and we continue to have many friends in the llama world. Simply stated, it has been delightful. We have for years, strived to achieve our goal by breeding quality llamas for excellence in conformation, exquisite fiber and wonderful temperament. Having won many Grand Championships over the years and being an ALSA Judge helped us develop one of the premier "select" herds in the country. All of our herd had some South American influence, we bred for quality, with exquisite fiber, in a mixture of North American and South American llamas. In other words, we used proven blood lines to breed for champion show quality llamas. We always enjoyed guests whether online or in person.
